Polymer Clay Pendants, Brooches, or Buttons Class

Take this fun and educational class and learn how to make pendants, brooches, or an array of buttons. Complement your outfit and impress your friends with unique jewelry in this “extrUdinary” technique!

Polymer Clay Pendants, Brooches, or Buttons Class

The focus of this class is learning how to make unique, multi-colored geometric designs using a fun tool called an extruder and how to use one of the most popular techniques in working with polymer clay – making canes.

You will learn about different types of polymer clay, how to combine colors, how to create an extruder cane (and what an extruder is!), form pendants, brooches, or buttons, cure clay, and attach findings. Once you’ve taken the class, you will be able to use this technique at home. You can use it to make just about anything – jewelry, accessories, buttons, utensils, switch plates… Possibilities are endless!

During the class students will make an assortment of pendants, brooches, and/or buttons in a unique, colorful color pattern.

Students will also learn the basics of working with polymer clay: types of clay, conditioning the clay, curing, and cleaning up.

Class length: 3 hours.

Ages: 12+ (students will use sharp knives.)

Tools and materials will be provided.

Please note. I don’t have a workshop or a class room. Classes take place in my living room (unless noted otherwise.)
