Firebird’s Tail

Firebird’s tail restoration project. This tail adorns the light switch plate I made years ago for the Theater on the Roof to commemorate the last performance of The Little Humpbacked Horse. It was on the wall, serving faithfully ever since…

Somebody must have tried. Probably used a sharp object. It could not have been kids… They’re sweet, gentle, and would never pluck feathers from a Firebird’s tail! It must be gremlins, right? Anyway. The good news – I could fix it! That’s how the Firebird’s Tail Restoration Project came about.

And to think of it – Firebird is supposed to lose a few feathers from its tail, isn’t it? That’s how the journey begins – Ivan finds it, gets into trouble, gets out of trouble, gets his girl and the kingdom. The history always repeats itself.
